Chambers of Lisbon and Coimbra clear initiatives due to the death of Soares – Express

The municipalities of Lisbon and of Coimbra decided to cancel the initiatives planned for the evening of this Saturday, due to the death of Mário Soares. In the capital, are left without effect the events marked for the Teatro de São Luiz, of the opening of the Lisbon Capital of Ibero-American Culture.

For the nine of the night, was provided for the concert “Songs for a Party”, which would join together on stage to portuguesa Gisela João, the peruvian Mariela Condo and the panamiana Yomira John. The show was initially scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday. The note from the Chamber of Lisbon, which informed him of the cancellation of this evening is silent to that regard.

After the show that would take to the stage Gisela João, the opening day of Lisbon Capital of Ibero-American Culture should end with another initiative (though also canceled): the party “Dances”, in the Winter Garden, with music from the Portuguese La Flama Blanca and the scenography of Pedro Valdez Cardoso.

In Coimbra, the local authority has suspended the realization of the Concert of Kings of the Metropolitan Orchestra of Lisbon, scheduled for ten in the night, in the Convent of san Francisco.
