The actor Miguel Ferrer died this Thursday, the 19th, after losing the battle against a cancer in the throat. She was 61.

George Clooney released a statement lamenting the death of the cousin.

"Today history will be marked by great change and loss in our world and it will happen on the same day that Miguel Ferrer lost his battle against cancer. Miguel left the world more brilliant, and funny, and his loss will be felt deeply in our family," reads the announcement.

Also one of the creators of the series 'NCIS', where the actor was for seven seasons, has already reacted.

"Today the NCIS: Los Angeles has lost a family member much loved. Miguel was a man of a talent enormous, and that had a powerful presence dramatic on the screen, a fantastic sense of humor, a huge heart," said R. Scott Gemmill.

Already Daniela Ruah has not yet issued any statement in relation to the death of a colleague.

Ferrer was born in Santa Monica, California, in February 1955. He was the son of a puerto rican, Jose Ferrer, also an actor, and american singer Rosemary Clooney. She began her career in representation in the 80′s.
