Jessica Jones: the Second season the position of female directors female – IGN Portugal

The alignment of directors for the second season of Jessica Jones, Marvel, will be entirely composed of ladies.

Melissa Rosenberg, executive producer of the exclusive series from Netflix, shared the news during its panel at Transform Hollywood, which was posted on Twitter by Mo Ryan, Variety magazine (via ScreenRant).

Rosenberg indicated that the goal was to offer a set of new perspectives, something passed also at the time of hiring of the personnel in charge of writing the series, according to Variety, explaining that looking for people with experiences different from her.

“When you interview a writer, I’m less interested in what they have done in terms of professional, and more interested in knowing where they are, what they do, the parents, what is your experience of life, which bring to the table in personal terms,” said Rosenberg.

The second season Jessica Jones will have a total of 13 episodes. The filming will begin, allegedly, by the end of this year, taking place simultaneously with the filming of The Defenders. The new season should be released sometime by the beginning of 2018.

Another project at Marvel that you should have a lady sitting in the chair of director is Captain Marvel, because Kevin Feige stressed the importance of the film to have a director.
