Six years in prison for the Drummer Jafumega – Swab

The former manager of Reficel Alvaro Oliveira Marques (second from left, pictured), suspected of having misappropriated more than one million euros in subsidies to the company yesterday sentenced by the Court of Albergaria-a-Velha. The news was released by the Lusa agency.
The former manager, also known as drummer Jafumega , was pronounced by a crime fraud in obtaining allowance and two counts of aggravated fraud. The panel of judges gave as proven the generality of the matter of pronunciation and condemned Oliveira Marques to six years in prison. In addition to the penalty, the defendant was sentenced to give the state a million and 100 thousand euros.
After reading the judgment, Judge President went to Oliveira Marques, the only defendant present in the session, and he regretted that “a person considered smart and clever” has used their skills to such cases. Some investors injured by the former administrator Reficel, who attended the trial, expressed satisfaction with the decision but regretted the delay in the process, which lasted for more than a decade.

The Reficel, what came to be declared bankrupt in 2003, was for the production of recycled bleached pulp, taking advantage of the old facilities of the Pulp Caima in Albergaria-a-Velha.
