Four years ago a film not invoiced both in Portugal as “Fast and the Furious 7″.


 
                 

Revenues and spectators of Portuguese cinema increased by 20% in April, compared to the same month last year. And contributing to the increase was the movie “Fast and the Furious 7″, which with 720,000 spectators and 4 million euros of revenues is already the most profitable film of the past four years.

 
 

According to the monthly statistics from the Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual (ICA) in April Portuguese movie theaters had 1.3 million viewers, which resulted in 7.3 million box office euros . A more than 20% compared to April 2014.


 
 

In all of 2015, from January to April, ICA recorded 24.5 million box office euros (20.1 million euros in the same period of 2014) and 4.7 million viewers (3.9 million in same months in 2014).

 
 

“Fast and the Furious 7″ by James Wan, starring Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Kurt Russell and Paul Walker – who did not finish the film for dying in a road accident – and which already has a sequel planned for April 2017 (“Fast and the Furious 8″), it was the most watched film in Portugal between January and April, with 719,165 viewers.

 
 
 
 

The second most watched film in Portugal this year was “The Fifty Shades of Grey” by Sam Taylor-Johnson, with over half a million spectators. The Portuguese most watched film this year in room was the comedy “Captain Falcon” by João Leitão, with 13,099 spectators.
