Seventy spaces have joined

‘Night of Museums’ held this Saturday at about 70 cultural venues, which organized more than 140 free activities between 18.00 and 24.00.

This year’s theme was “Museums for a sustainable society ‘in order to highlight the role of cultural venues in this area, as well as raise awareness among visitors to the impact of human action on the environment.

Already on Monday celebrated the ‘European Museum Day’, maintaining the free admission at these locations. In total, the two initiatives have 430 activities at no cost to whoever the spaces. Guided tours, concerts and lectures mark the two days of celebration.

At the Electricity Museum visitors can have free access to the exhibition ‘World Press Photo’, which includes 42 award-winning photographic works, framed into eight thematic categories. “I’m really enjoying it, took to review this space,” said the CM Marta Soares, one of the visitors.

The strike by employees of the museums to overtime, scheduled for these two days, did not affect the normal operation of the spaces visited by the CM.
