Over more than six hours, divided into three films, Miguel Gomes (“Taboo”) prepares to debut “The 1001 Nights” (Arabian Nights) in Cannes, “testing” the stamina of viewers and film critics.

The last director of the film within the category “Directors’ Fortnight” in Cannes and on Wednesday revealed a first trailer for three minutes.

Crest Tailor, Adriano Luz, Américo Silva, Carloto Cotta, Crista Taylor, Chico Plates, Luisa Cruz, Gonçalo Waddington, Joana de Verona, Teresa Madruga, and Jing Jing Guo are part of the cast of this mega-production that draws on classic fables to portray a contemporary Portugal.
