The start of the Festas de Lisboa takes place this Saturday at the Tower of Belém. There will be multimedia projections, concerts and even show in the water.
Musicians, actors, set designers, singers and designers meet this Saturday, at 22pm, the show of opening the Lisbon Party 2015 entitled “Five Hundred”, the Tower of Belem. The “transdisciplinary show” coincides with the night they celebrate the 500th anniversary of the building of the Tower, one of the most emblematic areas of Lisbon, and the 40th anniversary of independence of countries Africans colonized by Portugal.
The municipal company EGEAC use, in a statement that the “walls of museums” to the Tower of Belem, multimedia projections will take place six works of art, recreated the Atelier OCUBO between which include, for example, “St. Vincent Panels” by Nuno Gonçalves; “Sunday Lisboeta” Almada Negreiros; the “7th page of The Berlinda” by Rafael Bordallo and “25 April 1974″ of Hein Semke.
At 13 actors Ilotopie French company it is conducting a performance in water , created by Renzo Barsotti. The aim is to tell the story of Portugal, from the Discoveries, through the Restoration of Independence, the earthquake of 1755, the Industrial Revolution, the Estado Novo and the April Revolution of 1974. All in platforms and other structures mounted on the Tagus.
