“For me, the replacement of this piece would have already happened. It is the strongest works I created and I felt like returning to her, but did not have the right to cast replacing 1996. performing interpreters now have, “said Olga Roriz to GPS, the purpose of the return of private property, this end-of-week in CCB.

Carla Ribeiro is one that remains of the original cast. Beatriz Valentine, 19, makes his debut here in the role that was once Sonia Aragon. Marta Lobato Faria, Sylvia Rijmer, Campos André, Bruno Alexandre and Bruno Alves replace, respectively, Lina Santos, Susana Queiroz, Fabrizio Pazzaglia, Ludger Lamers and Luís Carolino.

“They represent the same characters, are like the original soul mates, but have their own personality,” says the choreographer, then added: “The play is so rich so that they do not even notice they are copy what others have done. ”

In the late 90, Olga Roriz used to say that “could make the rest of his career with João Mendes Ribeiro scenario”. In fact, at Expo 98, returned to use it in Public Property “. It was outdoors and in a windy day, was destroyed”

that will be seen in CCB is new, but equal, “It’s a box of surprises Simulates the outside, a wall street full of posters, but also the interior and has windows that open to show fragments of mutilated bodies…”

Mutilation, moreover, is a recurring theme in the work. Made to mark the 100th anniversary of cinema, reflects the sensitivity of the choreographer: “It is always the war movies or violent or sexual content that anymore mark me.” So the scenes of humor (including a solo in fast forward, inspired by Monty Python) and love (homosexual kisses to a couple in a bed mounted vertically, as if it were filmed in plongé from top) join stories death, rape and torture. “It’s hard, because it is realistic like in the movies. In 1996, many people could not take it and left in the middle. Today no one will, because people are increasingly accustomed to violence.”

Considering the play “zoom to reality, very theatrical,” Olga Roriz admits that the show is more a defining detail of their dance style: texts – yours, but also Almodóvar, on a fri symbol , and Marguerite Duras, on Germany.
