Reader captures building on fire images in Lumiar – Correio da Manhã

CM reader made us get exclusive pictures of the fire that injured 19 people.

There were moments of real terror that lived yesterday morning in a building of Lumiar, in Lisbon. A fire starting in the gate house, filled with smoke all around the property, forcing the withdrawal of 14 residents, most of whom through autoescadas of firefighters. A total of 18 people received hospital treatment.

The alert for the fire was given by 9:38 a.m.. Flames and thick clouds of smoke came out of the house windows of the gate, located on the 1st floor of a building of eight Queen square of Santa floors, Lumiar. Soon they arrived at the scene 34 elements of the Regiment Fire Brigade and Lisbonenses volunteers, assisted by 10 vehicles. S O is by 10:50 am the fire was reported extinguished. The whole apartment was consumed by fire and was declared uninhabitable by the local Civil Protection.
