“Yet it was not this!” Mariza and Marco Rodrigues fail Latin Grammy award – Diário de Notícias – Lisbon

The singers were nominated for the awards, this morning

Mariza and Marco Rodrigues failed the Latin Grammy awards for which they were appointed. Prizes were awarded this morning in a ceremony held in Las Vegas, the United States, and distinguished mexican artist deceased Juan Gabriel and the colombian Shakira and Carlos Vives.

“Even without Grammy party was great!!!”, wrote Mariza on Facebook.

The singer was named with the disk World for the Latin Grammy award for Best contemporary pop album in the Portuguese language, which was assigned to the brazilian Sky, with Tropix. In fact, with the exception of Mariza, all the artists nominated in this category were from Brazil.

The mexican artist deceased Juan Gabriel and the colombian Shakira and Carlos Vives dominated the 17.Th edition of the Grammy awards Latin.

Juan Gabriel, who died at the end of August, had never won a Latin Grammy award but on the night of Thursday received not only the Best pop vocal album, traditional as the Best album of the year, both for Los Duo 2.

La Bike, Carlos Vives and Shakira, won the awards for Best recording and Best song of the year.
