                         Closed schools due to bad weather – The schools in seven of the nine islands of the Azores will be closed this Monday due to the prediction of a worsening of the weather, it announced the Education regional office and Culture.
 
 The islands of the eastern group, São Miguel and Santa Maria, will be under red warning, the most serious of a four-scale due to the forecast of strong sea waves with southwest waves 6-8 meters, increasing to 9-10 meters and can occasionally reach 15 meters.
 
 The islands of the central group (Terceira, São Jorge, Graciosa, Faial and Pico) are under orange notice also due to wind.
 
 The IPMA also put the core group (Terceira, Graciosa, São Jorge, Faial and Pico) in orange notice due to the forecast of rain (between 6 and 15 hours) and strong winds (between 6 am and 23:59 pm today) after passing the yellow.
 
 Also because of the bad weather, it was postponed the hearing from the prime minister, António Costa, and the President of the Regional Government, Vasco Cordeiro. The meeting was scheduled for 10 am in Lisbon, Sao Bento Palace, but due to the weather forecast, President of the Regional Government will monitor the situation on the island of São Miguel.
