Playboy without nude women – Correio da Manhã

Change happens already in 2016.

Have you ever bought Playboy magazine?

In December 1953 it was making story: Hugh Hefner, young entrepreneur fascinated with the feminine curves, launched Playboy magazine with Marilyn Monroe on the cover of the first issue. Success was immediate and the magazine, which Hefner created in the home kitchen, has become an icon. The US publication, which since genesis promised “Entertainment for Men”, will fail to take photographs of women in full naked from March 2016.

The most iconic covers of Playboy

The controversial decision came from the editors and chief executives of the magazine, supported by the founder and still the editor, 89, who wants to modernize Playboy, since the pornographic content of the publication is no longer able to compete to the Internet. “We are just a click any free imaginable sex act. We fought and we won, we are now outdated,” explained Scott Flanders, chief executive of Playboy. The magazine, which went on to sell 5.6 million copies in 1975, no longer exceeds 800,000.

The renewed Playboy will have images of women in “provocative poses” and will the same with Playmate of the month , except that the images are not explicit and the simplest production. The idea is to extend the magazine’s target audience, so that addresses also to adolescents between the ages of 13 years.

First to break taboo
Playboy, which was the first to break the taboo to publish photographs of naked women, I had removed in 2014, all the photos on its website.

Despite being known mainly by the image of women, the magazine published over the years, interviews with major figures history.

I was in Playboy that Martin Luther King said that “America is now a very sick nation” and that the then future President Jimmy Carter acknowledged Desired other women.

For
magazine pages, with photos signed by names such as Helmut Newton and Annie Leibovitz, spent several celebrities from actresses Kim Basinger, Sharon Stone and Drew Barrymore to singer Madonna and the model Naomi Campbell.
