00 in the Folio festival starting in Obidos – RTP

 The exhibition of humorous drawings, candidates PortoCartoon 2015 – “The light of the world mood” – is one of the shows with opening scheduled for the start of the festival, first organized in order `polinucleada`, ie, with drawings spread across 12 municipalities that make up the OesteCim – Intermunicipal Community of the West.
 

 Through humor, the aim is thus “connecting the various municipalities to Folio project”, and mobilize municipalities to “the development of other activities in a network of logic.”
 

 “Photocall”, which brings together caricatures of writers, by André Carrilho, is also inaugurated today at the Largo da Porta da Vila, within the official opening of the festival.
 

 The Municipal Museum of Obidos, the proposal goes through prints of Maria Helena Vieira da Silva, patents since last July, but remain exposed until the end of the festival, in collaboration with the Arpad Museum Szenes-Vieira da Silva, and that can be enjoyed within a few meters of another show, opening also scheduled for 18:00 in the roof of the Plaza de Santa Maria.
 

 There protrude videos on the work of the Rio artist Sergio Cezar, building a miniature of Obidos, from cardboard, waste and garbage.
 

 “The Largest Flower World José Saramago”, illustrator André Letria (winner of several national and international awards), on the children’s story of the Nobel Literature, it is shown to the public in Creative Space José Joaquim dos Santos.
 

 The Portuguese Nobel is again evoked a photo exhibition and installation of João Francisco Vilhena. The show, entitled “White Evil”, focuses on the writer’s work “Blindness” and will be open at the Museum Abilio.
 

 On Creative Space Josefa D`Óbidos, can be seen reproductions of various documents, photographs from the press clippings, correspondence and manuscripts of ancient Orpheus magazine, which marks the emergence of Portuguese modernism.
 

 “We, the Orpheus” is the title of the exhibition organized in partnership with the Casa Fernando Pessoa and Camoes Institute, to mark the centenary of the magazine published in 1915.
 

 Have photographs of writers held to RSI magazine between 2008 and 2015, are the raw material of Pedro Loureiro to build shows that it is clear in the L Gallery, entitled “A timeless, others unhurriedly.”
 

 Elisabetta Scapini signs the exhibition to see the bookstore market, which brings together a series of photographs on the theme of accumulation of various objects, but above all books.
 

 All exhibitions can be visited from 10:00 to 22:00, in the programming of Folio – Literary Festival Internacional de Obidos, which takes place in the village by the end of next week.
