Marta Ren acts this Friday, 23
In 1992, on the occasion of the holding of the first Nights Ritual, the music festivals were still a rarity, but the bet exclusive in the pop-rock band the national from the outset proved a success, as the time would confirm. On the first night, Friday, 23, the leadership is divided between the Spanish Fandango, a double composed by Gabriel Gomes (Seventh Legion and Madredeus) and Luís Varatojo (Plague & Aids and The Naifa), which brings together the beats of electronic music with the traditional instruments like the accordion and Portuguese guitar, and the rhythms of funk and soul of Marta Ren & The Groovelvets.
Already on Saturday, the 24th, and after the pop-indie of the Fish:the Plane, the 24th edition of the Nights Ritual is ended to the sound of classic rock and timeless of Sean Riley & The Slowriders, who returned this year to the disks of the original with an album of the same name. As is now tradition, the festival also has a second stage dedicated to projects emerging, which alternates with the main one, where you will pass The Black Zebra and Palankalama (Friday, 23) or The Twist Connection and Raw (on Saturday 24).
The example of last year, the Nights Ritual once again have a market, with the curatorship of Portugal Lovers, where they will present new designers and national brands, as well some traditional trade of the city of Porto.
