Jean-Luc Godard and Jerzy Skolimowski will be honored at the tenth edition of the Lisbon & amp; Estoril Film Festival ( LEFFEST ), which will be held this year between 4 and 13 November, announced the organization on Monday.

the Franco-Swiss filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard, considered the master of the Nouvelle Vague , will be honored with a complete retrospective of his work – about a hundred movies – and an international symposium. For the symposium, figures will be invited from the world of film, the arts, literature and international critics, who will share with the public to influence one of the leading filmmakers of the past 50 years has had on future generations.

also the Polish Jerzy Skolimowski, Best Award winner movie LEFFEST edition last year with the film 11 Minutes pioneer of new cinema in his country, and other voices of the new wave of European cinema, returns to Portugal for a tribute to the display of a full retrospective of his work. Skolimowski has been honored at film festivals, including the Venice, which this year is underway, and awarded him a Lion career gold.

The director Polish also integrate the jury of the official selection in competition LEFFEST this year.

in this edition, full of Portuguese work Teresa Villaverde will also be displayed in hindsight, with the presence of director and several of the actors with which it has worked in movies like the Mutants (1998) and Transe (2006).

It also included photographic exhibition Chema Prado / Series ( Chema Prado drove for 30 years Cinematheque Spanish) which includes pictures of large format film personalities like Manoel de Oliveira, John Malkovich, Antonio Banderas, Pedro Almodóvar, Stephen Frears, Jim Jarmusch and Robert de Niro, among others .
