Freddie Mercury would now 70 years – Observer

Farrokh Bulsara was born on September 5, 1946 in Zanzibar, an archipelago off Tanzania, the former British colony. Later, the world got to know him by Freddie Mercury. On the day that marks its 70th anniversary, Brian May, a friend and guitarist of Queen, revealed that an asteroid discovered in the year when Freddie died was named after the lead singer of the band.

In the ad that was published Sunday through a Youtube video, Brian May confirmed that the asteroid 17473 will be called asteroid 17473 Freddiemercury. This honor is due to the “strong influence that Freddie had in the world” -.. Explains Brian May The announcement was formalized in the day with a certificate from the International Astronomical Union and the Minor Planet Center

Freddie was singer , musician and composer. He spent most of his childhood in India where he attended piano lessons at age 7. In 1964, his family moved to Middlesex in the UK, where he joined a band called Wreckage. Then met Roger Taylor and Brian May and it was then that was born the band Queen.
