The Barbie doll has inspired thousands and thousands of children to dream with stories of princesses, so it already was late to appear … the queen.
According to Mattel, Barbie will now have a version of ‘blue blood’. The real doll is inspired by Letizia Ortiz, a former journalist who is now the queen of Spain. In addition to the facial features, the new version uses a gray dress like what the designer Felipe Varela designed to Letizia Ortiz wear on the wedding day dinner.
A presentation of the new doll will be held during the Madrid Fashion Doll Show Convention, scheduled for between 11 and September 13.
