If ‘Captain Falcon’ is the film that IndieLisboa wants to attract more public, ‘Here, in Lisbon’ is the film that the organization wants to see the international film circuit. Both symbolize the two main objectives of the 12th edition of the International Festival of Independent Cinema:. Captivate the public and enhance the cinematic work done in the country The festival starts today and ends on May 3, with 260 long and short films to see in the Cinema S. Jorge, at Culturgest Cinematheque Cinema and Ideal. It is the latter that will host one of the novelties of the event – the Hellmouth section, with sessions at midnight dedicated to comedy with horror. Silvestre is another new section, which documents the bondage. The first film will be ‘Captain Falcon’, John Leitão, the Cinema S. Jorge, followed by ‘While we are Young ‘with Ben Stiller and Naomi Watts at Culturgest. On Friday will be the turn of ‘Here in Lisbon’ be presented to the public in St. George. The film went into production two years ago, as a kind of balance of ten years of IndieLisboa, and has conducting Denis Côté, Dominga Sotomayor, Gabriel Abrantes and Marie Losier. “We are delighted with the result and we have invitations from major festivals that want to see the movie, like Cannes, Locarno or Venice, “said Miguel Valverde, director of IndieLisboa.
