Jorge Palma and Sérgio Godinho together to unpublished concerts – RTP


 The two musicians, who crossed the stage and drive over the past decades, will make a “special show designed together”, scheduled for May 29 at the Centro Cultural Olga Cadaval, in Sintra, and for July 17 in Lisbon in the Super Bock Super Rock festival, announced today.
 

 Considered two names of reference, song writers in Portuguese and with an identity mark on the national songbook, Jorge Palma and Sérgio Godinho count on stage with Pedro Vidal Nuno Rafael, João Correia, Sérgio Nascimento, João Cardoso and Nuno Lucas, musicians that attached several years.
 

 Sérgio Godinho and Jorge Palma are five years apart, but a route with points in common. Both were exiled, as opposed to the dictatorial regime before April 25, 1974, edited the first albums in the 1970s, are seen as interventional and influential artists of other generations of musicians.
 

 To both, with more or less intensity or permeability in the songs, attributed musical references of folk, rock, traditional Portuguese music, side of Sérgio Godinho, or classical music, by Jorge Palma.
 

 The pair friendship, long decades, Jorge Palma and Sérgio Godinho crossed, for example, in the show “Children of Rimbaud” in the 1990s, and a duet, “Let’s change the subject,” on the album “Brother middle “, published in 2003 by Godinho.

 The concert at the Super Bock Super Rock Festival will take place on 17 July in Meo Arena, the same day that will act Blur, the dEUS and The Drums.
