Maria Bethania with extra date in Lisbon Coliseum – TVI24

Maria Bethania will give three concerts in Portugal and not two as originally planned. The Brazilian singer will perform a second day in Lisbon, because of the great demand for tickets.

So the concerts are scheduled for May 24, the Coliseum Port and for 27 and 28 May, the Lisbon Coliseum, in Lisbon.

Maria Bethania will present the show “Embracing and thank”, which celebrates 50 years of career of Brazilian singer.

The show is directed and set design Bia Lessa, director of their latest show “Love Letter,” “Love Party” and “Devotion and into the sea has river.”

According to the promoter of concerts, the Everything is New, Maria Bethania will sing “songs of all time and others, composed especially for her in this celebration of his 50-year career, by Paulo César Pinheiro, Dorival Caymmi and Chico Cesar, to be presented for the first time. ”

The singer of 68 years, which in June will receive the prize of Brazilian music and edit a new book, will also read texts Wally Solomon, Clarice Lispector and Carmen Oliveira, and “present new composers and a version unprecedented [a song] made especially for you by Nelson Motta. ”

From the alignment, among others, will be part of the songs from their latest album “My Backyards” as “Dindi,” “Xavante”, “Casa de Caboclo” and “One I ara”.

In Portuguese stages, the lighting design is signed by Binho Schaefer and coordination and music production is Guto Graça Mello, producer responsible for the artist’s albums as “Cycle” (1983) and “The Songs you did p’ra Me “(1993).

This show is currently touring the Brazilian stage, premiered last February in Rio de Janeiro.

The singer is accompanied by the musicians Jorge Helder (conductor and bass), John Carlos Coutinho (piano and accordion), Paul Dafilim (guitars and guitar), Pedro Franco (guitar, mandolin and guitar), Marcio Mallard (cello), Pantico Rock (drums) and Marcelo Costa (percussion).

Maria Bethania estrou in 1965 at the Teatro view, in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, in a concert in which shared the stage with Zé Keti and John Valley.
