Movie tickets at a bargain price in May – News Blasting

This measure is part of the 1st edition of the Film Festival, carried out by a group of identities related to the Portuguese film industry. The purpose of this initiative is to captivate more people to the Portuguese rooms, as well as recover the old habit of going to the movies, lost after the outbreak of the economic and financial crisis of 2011. This innovative idea is APEC – Portuguese Association of Motion Picture Companies, is supported by the Cinema and Audiovisual Institute (ICA) and distributors of audiovisual content, represented by the Audiovisual Works Protection Association (FEVIP) and the Association for Copyright Management, Producers and Publishers (GEDIPE).

It is already considered by the organization as the Feast Film, a promotional initiative never before performed in the country. Will be reached 94,000 places in almost five hundred rooms distributed throughout Portugal. Exceptions to the rule are the 3D cinemas, IMAX and the places called “VIP”.

In the future the aim is to repeat this initiative and, perhaps even make it coincide with the debut Portuguese films in order to help promote the Portuguese film industry.
