“The Princess Kaguya Story” wins Monstra 2105 – Journal Hardmusica

The Portuguese short film “Soot” by David Doutel and Vasco Sá, won the Prix SPA | Vasco Granja for Best Portuguese Short Film and “The Princess Kaguya Tale” by Isao Takahata, won the Grand Prix RTP for Best Feature Film in Monstra 2015

“Soot”, the Portuguese David Doutel and Vasco Sá, won the Award SPA |. Vasco Granja for Best Portuguese Short Film in the 14th edition of the Festival MONSTRA

The jury was unanimous vote “by having all predicates that ask for a film of this nature.”
Also in the Portuguese Competition section was “Soot” to win the Audience Award and also the Special Jury Prize at the International Competition section of Short.
“The Princess Kaguya Tale,” the latest work of the Isao Takahata Japanese, won the Grand Prix RTP Monstra
2015. The jury found that this is “a movie regarding a work of art, created by one of the masters of world animation.”

“The Princess Kaguya Tale” is the story of a girl found inside a bamboo cane, created by a bamboo cutter and his wife, who turns into a fine young man, and that the field passes to the great capital, captivating all who find it.
“Shaun Sheep” by Mark Burton and Richard Starzak (UK), received the Audience Award and the award for Best Film for Children and Youth, and the movie “Song of the Sea . “Tomm Moore’s (Ireland) was awarded Best Soundtrack and the Special Jury Prize

In the category of very short, dedicated to films with less than two minutes, the winners were the films ” Cupidiculous “by Panop Koowat (International Competition), and” Home Dog, Emanuel Barros (Best Portuguese Super Short – Award FNAC).

In the Student Competition, the short “Mend and Make Do” by bexy Bush Bush (UK), received the Best Short International Students – Award Carl Zeiss Vision, and “Tele-Sofia”, Ana Fernandes, Manuel Nuno Sá and Mendanha received the Award Carl Zeiss Vision for Best Short Portuguese Students.
