Died Luis Miguel Rocha writer, author of “The Last Pope” – Daily News – Lisbon

Luis Miguel Rocha writer, 39, author of works such as “The Last Pope”, died today in Mazarefes, Viana do Castelo District, cancer victim, disease against which fought in the last eight months, according to a statement of Porto Editora.

The writer was hospitalized in Viana do Castelo Hospital and in recent days was in the family home. Will be in ardent camera in the Chapel of the Good News in Mazarefes, Viana do Castelo, and the funeral is tomorrow, Friday, at 16.00, in the same place.

Born in Oporto, in February 1976 the Portuguese author wrote several books with international success, as “The Last Pope” (2006, Emergency Exit publisher), which exposes a theory about the mysterious death of Albino Luciani, Pope John Paul I, involving the Italian Freemasonry, and “The Daughter of the Pope” (2013, Porto Editora) on the Vatican secrets.

Porto Editora Source contacted by Lusa agency indicated that the body of the writer will be burning chamber from the late morning today in the Chapel of the Good News in Mazarefes, and the funeral will take place on Friday at 16:00, to the local cemetery.

Luis Miguel Rocha studied at the humanities to the 12th year, and began his professional life as a picture reporter, translator and screenwriter.
