New Coach Museum opens to the public today – the Minute News

The new National Coach Museum in Belém, opens to the public today with a free admission program that includes a parade of Charanga Horse GNR and a display of the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art.

The date has been set to mark the 110 anniversary of the opening of the original museum in 1905 at the initiative of Queen Amelia, wife of King Charles I.

According to museum information, opening with free admission, is scheduled for 10:00 and lasted until 18:00, with the last entry at 17:30, including guided tours.

At 11:00, there will be a concentration on the Museumplein, the Charanga Riding the GNR and carriages of the Portuguese Association of pegs (APA), starting with the parade at 11:30, passing by the museum’s auditorium and presentation the carriage and harness driving models.

At 12:00, the procession will travel the Garden Vasco da Gama, operating the Charanga of GNR, with two carriages available to the public, and from 15:00 there will be a display of the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art, in the same place.

On Sunday, the second day of the celebrations, also with free admission, are scheduled guided tours and a parade of classic cars.

From Monday, the entries in the new museum will cost six euros and spend eight when complete the museum’s building project, according to the Ministry of Culture (SEC).

in the old building of the Coach Museum, the Royal Riding School, which will remain open to the public, the entries will cost four euros but two that charged so far.
