The Nevada State authorities in the United States are investigating whether BB King’s death was a homicide, following the complaint lodged by two artist daughters, ensuring that the “king of the blues” was poisoned.
Although it has confirmed that there will be a new investigation, the coroner of Clark County, John Fudenberg, said on Tuesday the network “NBC” that the initial results of the autopsy performed on King, who died on 14 May aged 89, showed no “evidence to support” the allegations of the singer’s daughters. Fudenberg said complete autopsy results will be known within eight weeks.
“While there is still no evidence of the alleged poisoning, will carry out an investigation in depth and we are coordinating our efforts with the Homicide Division of the Department of the Metropolitan Police of Las Vegas,” he said.
In principle, the authorities reported the death of BB King happened by complications from diabetes who suffered for years, but last weekend two of the singer’s daughters, Patty King and Karen Williams, presented separately Affidavits in which say they believe that his father “was murdered.”
Both guarantee that the artist was “poisoned” to “induce his untimely death” and accused the representative of King, LaVerne Toney, and his personal assistant, Myron Johnson.
Considered to be one of the most influential artists of all time, BB King won 16 Grammys with its more than 50 discs in almost 60 years of career and music that epoch, such as “Three O’Clock Blues” and “The Thrill Is Gone”.
