Festa do Cinema attracts 200,000 spectators – RTP

The first Film Festival ended yesterday with a positive assessment by the organization.

 . The three days of the first Festival of Cinema halls led to almost 200,000 people, today announced the organization of the event

The provisional figures show a daily increase in the number of spectators: 53,399 in
 Monday, 68,527 on Tuesday and 77,809 on Wednesday, which adds up to 199,735 spectators (not including the results of some film clubs, municipal auditoriums and independent cinemas who did not finish sending results to the ICA – Institute for Cinema and Audiovisual).

According to the organization, the consumption of film during the days of the promotion tripled compared to normal and succeeded to suggest already in upcoming issues.

first promoted in Portugal by APEC (Portuguese Association of Motion Picture Company) the Film Festival was supported by ICA (Cinema and Audiovisual Institute) and audiovisual content distributors, represented by FEVIP (Association Defense of Audiovisual Works) and GEDIPE (Association for Copyright Management, Producers and Editors).

The event provided tickets for the unit price of € 2.50 for any of the films in theaters, . during the three-day event held in about 500 cinemas totaling 94,000 places

The five most seen films in the three days of the Film Festival were:

 4, The Age of Adaline 16,536

 5. The Last Knights 10,980

The Portuguese film most sought during the Film Festival was “Captain Falcon”, watched by 5,035 spectators.
