The director of the film “Suicide Squad” Leto photographed in close pose the cover of one of the most popular comics of the character.
The director David Ayer (the “Fury”) published on Twitter a picture of Jared Leto as the Joker of the upcoming “Suicide Squad” from DC Comics.
The pose copies the comic cover “The Killing Joke”, with half hidden character behind a camera.
Earlier this week, Ayer had posted a picture of the extensive ensemble cast for a reading of the script. Leto, on tour with his band Thirty Seconds To Mars, was absent.
From the cast of “Suicide Squad” are part of Will Smith in the role of Deadshot, Tom Hardy (Bane’s “The Dark Knight Rises “) as the leader of the group, Rick Flagg. Jared Leto succeeds the late Heath Ledger in the skin of the charismatic character Joker.
Other lesser-known names include Margot Robbie (from the series “Pan Am” and recently seen in “The Wolf of Wall Street”), as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney (the son of Bruce Willis in “A Good Day To Die Hard”) as the Boomerang and Cara Delevigne (of “Anna Karenina”) in the role of the Enchantress.
The argument was written by the director himself and addresses the existence of a government agency known as “Suicide Squad”, composed only of villains. In this group are delivered the most dangerous missions in exchange for lighter sentences.
“Suicide Squad” hits theaters Portuguese to August 4, 2016.
