He died this morning the director Manoel de Oliveira. The filmmaker had 106 years.

Manuel Cândido de Oliveira Pinto was born in Cedofeita parish, Porto, on 11 December 1908. Aniki Bobo was the first film directed by filmmaker in 1942. He married in 1940 with Maria Isabel Brandao de Meneses de Almeida oak, with whom he had four children.

He was the oldest filmmaker in active throughout the world . The Old Restelo is the latest film from the director, premiered in December 2014 to mark the 106 anniversary of the director. The work is inspired by Camões text .
