The commemorative program of the 10th anniversary of the Casa da Musica in Porto, has this Friday one of the highlights, with the world premiere (by order of the CoM) of “Scherzi” by Pedro Amaral, the Symphony Orchestra and Choir Music House (21h), under the direction of Takuo Yuasa.
With activities from 10.30, in which all groups are involved and conductors of the House, but also educational institutions of the city and surroundings (Music Conservatory of Porto, Academy of Music Costa Cabral, Professional Music School of Espinho, for example), the public can watch the performances, open rehearsals, workshops for families, DJ performances and concerts.
Highlight this Friday for Philip Verissimo organ concert at the Church of the Clergy (13h); and Saturday , for Percussion Concert ChaCha Pum (room 2, 14:30); Ali Baba and the 40 songs directed by Mário João Alves (room 2, 16.30); masterpieces of the Portuguese Baroque Baroque Orchestra for the House of Music, under the direction of Laurence Cummings at 18h in Suggia room; the US CLUB, with Tricky (24), Best Youth (23.30), Capicua (1h) or DJ Peter Kruder (1h30).
for Sunday , at noon touches the Portuguese Band Symphony with Mario Laginha, under the direction of Francisco Ferreira. The highlight of the concert will be the “Rhapsody in Blue” by George Gershwin.
