The CGTP delivered, on Thursday, a complaint to the Institute of Employment and Vocational Training (IEFP) on the case of a young man forced the company to return part of their training grant. On Friday, the CGTP will also deliver a complaint to prosecutors for the case to be investigated.

John Pereirinha, 26, gave up a traineeship financed by the IEFP precisely because the company forced him to give him back more than a third of the training grant. Their situation is very similar to those reported by the National Youth Council (CNJ), the big difference is that here there is a face and a case.

Uncomfortable with the situation, John Pereirinha eventually report in early August, the situation at the employment center of Évora, reporting the reasons that led him to terminate the probationary contract, thus preventing be prevented from accessing the other IEFP measures. “I took care of all the details of the situation to IEFP, but so far has not been answered, and taking into account the news out to the public earlier this week, I decided to denounce it publicly,” he told Lusa the young resident in Vila Viçosa .

on Monday, the CNJ denounced cases of companies that are demanding to trainees who are they to support the sharing of the purse and pay the single social fee – charges which, according to the Regulation the stages supported by IEFP, is an employer’s responsibility. The council was declined to reveal the names of the companies concerned, identifying only the areas of law, architecture and psychology (which require internships for access to the profession) as those who have resorted to such expedients.

In this time, the young man decided to contact the CGTP to report your case and ask for legal support. To Armenio Carlos, situations such as John Pereirinha, who interning in a media group of Évora, or those that were denounced by the CNJ, confirm that “there is a set of active employment measures that have been used in reverse to the objective for which they were created. “

President of the CGTP highlighted the courage of the young and urged the trainees who are in a similar situation to report companies that use the IEFP internship program fraudulently.
