Massive Attack, with the Young Fathers will be in July in SBSR festival – RTP


 Massive Attack have a longstanding relationship with the Portuguese stages and now return to the same festival where they acted in 1996, 2004 and 2014. The group embarks on a new tour in the year that has edited the EP “Ritual Spirit” and provides for the issue of another before releasing a new album in late 2016.
 

 The 22nd edition of SBSR held 14-16 July in various spaces of the Park of Nations, is already confirmed performances from the likes of Kendrick Lamar, The National, Kurt Vile, Block Party and Disclosure.
 

 Massive Attack emerged in 1988 in Bristol, associated at the time, a recent movement in music called trip hop. The group included Robert Del Naja, Grant Marshall and Andy Vowles, although only the first two remained to the present day.
 

 Almost complete thirty years Massive Attack published their latest album, “Heligoland” in 2010, followed in 2011, a limited edition recording with producer Burial.
 

 In January, they released the EP “Ritual Spirit,” produced by Robert Del Naja, who counts on the participation of Tricky, Roots Manuva, Azekel and Young Fathers, is expected to issue another EP, with songs written by Grand Marshall.
 

 Throughout his career, Massive Attack often expressed by music, one activist position and opinion regarding the time in which they live, warning of globalization or climate change, asked about privacy and freedom before the Internet and technology .
 

 In December, when the United Nations organized in Paris an international conference on climate change, Massive Attack released a short film, “La fête est finie” on oil companies.
