Aged 86, James Last dies in Florida – TopNews

The leader of Big Band and German composer James Last, famous for his arrangements of popular songs, has died at 86 years old, in Florida, said the organizer of her shows on Wednesday .

Last sold over 80 million records worldwide and was best known for popular hits in the style of big band. His trademark “happy sounds” includes strong dance beat, the crowd noise and laughter mixed with the songs. His first album, Non Stop Dancing , was released in 1965.

Born in the German city of Bremen, Last was originally a pianist, but after World War II (1939-1945) began a musical career It lasted about six decades.
