Poster Head and main attraction of the day was the best PJ Harvey concert on the 2nd day of NOS Primavera Sound – Newspapers Hardmusica

Similar to yesterday, the concert highlighted by the nostalgia for the beauty and intensity, but in very different ways.

the day began in the Portuguese party with White Haus. People dancing, with joyful and infectious music, it was hard to sit, and with great public already at 5, it was a very good time. Cass McCombs followed, a folk style well captured, but it still needs development. Very comfortable in quiet, and with a strange voice, and that can be seen easily, needing only to refine.

The folk was also taken to the next stage Destroyer to make room for his expansive music, singular voice guide, the letters not always the happiest, but the woodwinds and piano found a lot to smile about. The moment of “Times Square” and “Dream Lovers” were very special, with the instruments to gain tremendous power.

Before the end Destroyer were already many people waiting for Brian Wilson, who played the classic album “Pet Sounds” by the Beach Boys. Nostalgia was one reason why the concert was received with great enthusiasm, and Brian Wilson with visible effects of age, among others, made even good job, and the stage companions to assist in transmitting this classic. Everyone sang for Would not It Be Nice and God Only Knows, and each song had an enthusiastic audience as well. With 11 musicians on stage, the music improved and improved. The name Brian Wilson brought the audience, with much support, it did not disappoint.

Then there was time to catch some Dinasaur Jr. who also used nostalgia to great effect, with lots of energy and beam aggression by mixing. Empress Of was one of the most danced concerts, with artistic and jerks it was very emotional bringing much beauty in simplicity.

Here came the best moments of the festival, with Savages in the second stage, weight rude in melody, fast rhythms and body, the more eccentric and significant movements of Jehnny Beth caused much excitement. They seem to have a close connection with Portugal, also saying that the well-known song “Fuckers” was inspired (very positive) the last time they had been in this festival in 2013, where the public showed much love they had to repay. Even if we can not dance much for back pain, Jehnny Beth stake happy and expressive, giving one of the best concerts of the night. The peak was in “Adore” an almost powerful ballad.

The only thing that was better was the PJ Harvey. The British were the biggest attraction of the night, and the cancellation of Freddie Gibbs, had the festival to your account for a large part. She came on stage with his band of exceptional musicians in procession behind a drum. Took advantage of this space to give life to The Hope Six Demolition Project, while other songs used during the concert, this album focused on people in bad situations all over the world was central. And with the musicians around him, who also gave space to shine, could not fail. She brought energy and beauty, by way of subtlety in the melody and running, while dancing as you well felt like. Album, The Ministry of Defense came with much force, Chain of Keys and emotional, and Dollar, Dollar intimate. Intimate and intense was the Bring You My Love. PJ Harvey left the stage also with procession drum after finishing Anacostia River only with the same drum to accompany 8 voices. It was unique and is a concert that is in memory.

followed a dance concert in the middle of happiness to ecstasy Kiasmos. The third (after 20 minutes) the concert could begin, but it was the low bass, and the sound was very stuffy, not to risk a third technical failure. The sound increase with time, the intensity was higher, and more enthusiastic dance. They were thrilled as the public does not come off even with the flaws, and transmitted this happiness.

Finally, Beach House gave a concert more a dreamer and capable concert to bring peace and melancholy, with crescendos ending in intensity, but defined by the sound of lightness, the slower beats, by the tremendous public and affectivity. A captivante concert, even what was necessary for the end of the second day of the festival.

Tomorrow Air, Explosions in the Sky, Moderat and Ty Segall go up to the stage of NOS Primavera Sound to end the festival, and if these early days indicated something, it is that the day is not one to miss.
