Alfama wins Marches Popular Lisbon – TVI24

The Alfama was the winner of this year’s Marches Popular Lisbon, announced Monday the company Equipment Management and Cultural Animation (EGEAC).

The second place was awarded the march of Penha de France and the third to the High-march of Pina.

This year, the Popular marches made an allusion to the 170 anniversary of the birth of Rafael Bordallo Pinheiro and the 50th anniversary of construction of the bridge over the Tagus (Ponte 25 de Abril).

According to EGEAC, the gears are evaluated with a score from 0 to 20 and on two occasions, the pavilion MEO Arena and the Avenida da Liberdade, in the categories of choreography, set design, costume design, best lyrics, musicality, best original composition and parade avenue.

By categories, Alfama, Anto Pina and Penha de France were the neighborhoods best rated in the choreography, Alcântara set design and Alcantara, Alto do Pina and Bairro Alto Nfrom costumes.

the title of the best lyrics were raised by the march of Madragoa, since the musicality category stood out the districts of Alfama, Alto Pinae and Penha de France and the best original composition was “basil”, Alfama.

on As in previous years, the 84th edition of Popular marches Lisbon was attended 20 marches in competition: Alto do Pina – last year’s winner – Alfama, Alcantara, Bela Flor – Campolide, Ourique Field, Carnide, Penha France, Bairro da Boavista, Bairro Alto, Benfica, help, Madragoa, Saint Vincent, Bica, Mouraria, Santa Engracia, Marvila Grace Groves and Lumiar.
