Cascais puts “Macbeth” on the scene, the Port invites to a sports-theatrical challenge and Lisbon proposes a round of applause for the applause.

“Macbeth” in Cascais

The mark half a century, the Teatro Experimental de Cascais carries out another show which brings together actors who are part of the company’s history. This time it is Shakespeare’s tragedy that takes the stage, with translation and dramaturgy Miguel Graça, staging Carlos Aviles and interpretations of actors like Claudia Semedo, Flavia Gusmao, Marco D’Almeida, Miguel Amorim, Paula Lobo Antunes or Pedro Caeiro . The play is on stage at the Teatro Municipal Mirita Casimiro until December 27, with Wednesday sessions Saturday at 21h; and Sunday at 16h. . Normal ticket costs 10 €

“Sports Icons”

At issue was a challenge: create a “sports-theater” show. The invitation was made to directors Peter Penim and Miguel Loureiro and two sports icons Invicta City, the athlete Rosa Mota and footballer Fernando Gomes, who now present the results. Penim is responsible for the show that will focus on the figure of the Olympic marathon champion. And Miguel Loureiro portrays the glory years of European Cup football. The two have a short participation in the play, which also pays tribute to athletes. Today, at 21.30 at the Rivoli Theatre in Porto. Tickets € 7.50.

A round of applause to the applause

The theater group Dog Single joins the National Ballet Company to create “Morceau of Bravoure,” a show that takes as its starting point the choreography of the last scene. The focus is on the applause and thanks in technique and virtuosity. The title, as the vocabulary of classical dance, refers to a “specific moment of virtuous execution.” The choreography is signed by Rui Lopes Graça and can be seen in Camões Theatre in Lisbon, from Thursday to Saturday at 21h; and Sunday at 16h until 22 November. The ticket prices vary between 5 € and 30 €.
