In ’25′, Adele’s voice turns blessing and curse, but should please fans – Good info

There are two ways to accommodate this anticipated new album Adele phenomenon in the present state of things in popular music.

The first is to see how it is possible in the era of consumption via streaming and download, build a pop record with ability to sell millions of physical copies, breaking records and not leave the top of the “Billboard” American or of the British charts-with developments in other corners of the world-until enjoarmos to see the cover with the beautiful Adele’s face, his eye color treated well, her perfect makeup and well-arranged hair.

The second way is to see “25″ exactly as it is: an album with 11 tracks putting spotlight, one after the other, the powerful voice of the singer, his most significant mark. And this way is not so favorable to it (and industry) as the first.

Because the “golden voice” of Adele, while it is a blessing (and their fans), can also be a curse. So strong identity, Adele throat not only easily drowns out the album’s songs, many of them driven by a contrasting piano strumming, as does the old year to hear an entire disk a comprehensive challenge.

DOSE HORSES

That said, “25″ , a collection of different songs sewn by the voice of Adele, work better being released gradually as singles, EPs at best, sporadic consumption. Adele in homeopathic doses. Sign of the times in which the mobile headset is the new speaker?

The disc is far from bad, though. With a handful of good songs, some more of the same -typical who is on the third disc, the height, casts the so-called “security record” without outbursts of ousadia-, “25″ has its merits: dialogue with exactly the Adele other discs and is honestíssimo in its contemporaneity.

When you let go the album, the fan can hear everything that belongs (or still belongs) to the broader pop music, in all its niches.

You can feel gospel pop aggrandizing, the lineage of TV shows songs like “The Voice” (because most of the freshmen seem to aspire to be just that: the new Adele), a song or another that matches a path for explosive scenes of a movie 007. Not coincidentally, all involving Adele universe.

Behind the millions that the disc will sell, and under the bombastic vocal verve of Adele, “25″ is woven by partners, producers and songwriters like indie Tobias Jesso Jr. and the “midas” Max Martin.

In no time the album appeals to the easy lure of an epithet as “produced by Dr. Dre, featuring Rihanna and / or Taylor Swift.” Precisely because Adele does not need anyone older than she or the same level to sell records.

Even without a band on the strength of “Rolling in the Deep” (from the previous “21″) or “Chasing Pavements” (the premiere, “19″), some songs from this “25″ as “Hello”, “Water Under the Bridge” and “I Miss”, should take Adele even further than it already was.

Without realizing it, she said. But with the pop giving good care of everything.
