The zombies continue to stagger through the screens, between films and series, and tonight comes once drove us to explore the vein of the fascination of millions by the undead from fiction. The universe is the same as The Walking Dead , but the apocalypse is not post – is pre. The mini-series Fear the Walking Dead raises the volume. And more accelerated and technological times, also bites.

begin this Sunday the six weeks will show the outbreak of the undead which becomes the zombie apocalypse that since 2010 haunts the survivors of The Walking Dead . This series, one of the biggest hits of audiences in recent years on cable television, is an original production of the American channel AMC passing and will continue to go on Fox in Portugal.

But Fear the Walking Dead , a sort of prequel (is presented as a “ companion series “), will from this morning exclusively in Portuguese AMC – present in Cabovisão and Meo. At 2:30 the night of Sunday to Monday, repeated on Mondays at 22.30, the major investment channel in the still rare experience of simultaneous display in the US and Portugal.

Rick Grimes, who during the Apocalypse was in a coma and woke up, and we with him, in October 2010, to a new world full of Walking Dead ‘ve never been there.

In the new series of six episodes still do not know well at what point we are, but there are signs that the place where we are, Los Angeles, is not a far cry from the present time. The new family of protagonists is still a set of sedentary victims in a city rocked by the sound of sirens – with the suggestively volume at most. But the group of hunter-gatherers Rick, Daryl and Michone of Walking Dead lives in the silence of forests and ruined refuges of Georgia.

In Los Angeles patient zero- Fear the Walking Dead touch phones, matraqueiam helicopters and even the generic cries more high. A before and after of civilization created by Robert Kirkman in its universe of comics and TV series – the new series is not based on books, it is 100% new. “We are building a wing in the house,” says the author in the journal Entertainment Weekly

Nick (Frank Dillane, actor son Stephen Dillane -. Stannis of Game of Thrones – and that was the young Tom Riddle in Harry Potter ) is a heroin addict around who a modern family trying to fit. The physicality of their interpretation, is almost a walker – moves hurt the world. The Madison mother (Kim Dickens), Travis stepfather (Cliff Curtis) and another family of teenager (Alycia Debnam-Carey) are the gateway to the mixture of terror, collapse of life-as-the-know and human drama that to come.

First
, and an effective opening, there is the occasional Zombie (is it?) in one of the most popular parks of Los Angeles, an attack that becomes viral on the Internet but faces skepticism … For Robert Kirkman “ Fear the Walking Dead is a great appetizer for the sixth season” of Walking Dead (debuts on Fox 12 October) whose narrative is an essential engine – the lack of technology, the returns to a slower tempo, grazing on incommunicado and in distances when all else fails in the modern world. In East Los Angeles, read Jack London and are all connected, but do not realize anything -. Some of the criticism considers it implausible

All except one nerd bubbling – ” No one is going to college, no one goes to where you think go, “grumbles in the first episode – seem too focused on your life to admit that the” cases in five states “and” flu “that the school is rapidly emptying may be the beginning of the end. “What the hell is going on?” Despairs finally Madison when the new normal bite his heels. The next episode, the American press has ever seen, the family drama of the plan opens now more about a community that does not seem to be aware of the change that is broken in your carpooling life for school, demonstrations and traffic jams.

For Kirkman, the environment of this prequel has “the exciting mix of uncertainty and inevitable,” describes the Entertainment Weekly . The “know this world.” We know “the rules.” How to kill, what to avoid, how deceiving and that the infection is widespread. And that, in the middle, this diffuse concept of “human nature” also takes a few bites. “Our characters do not know and this creates a tension and a sense of fear in the spectator experience,” says the author of this saga of the undead, who with Dave Erickson is executive producer and writer of the first and sixth episode.
