Porto, Aug. 21 (AP) – Secretary of State for Culture, Jorge Barreto Xavier, today deplored the death of the director of Cinanima Antonio Gaio festival, thanking the contribution made to the Portuguese culture and film animation.
“The Secretary of State for Culture, Jorge Barreto Xavier, on his own behalf and on behalf of the Government of Portugal, the public expressed regret at the death of Antonio Gaio,” can be read in a statement released today.
In the note, Barreto Xavier “expresses its condolences to the family and friends, thanking the contribution that Antonio Gaio left the Portuguese culture and especially the animated film”.
