Pink Floyd reveal details of new album – Reuters

The first Pink Floyd album in twenty years already has release date: November 10.

The revelation comes in the October issue of the magazine Uncut. SteveHoffman.TV point in its content and reveals that David Gilmour and Nick Mason started the process in November last year having spent a month recording batteries and overdubs guitar.

The producer and Roxy Music guitarist Phil Manzanera, was involved in the process. Organ on the album recordings of the late keyboardist Richard Wright dating back to 1969 seconds and unheard instrumental album David Gilmour “The Big Spliff” were included.

“The Endless River” contains four different on each side of exploratory disc “more atmospheric and digressive aspects of Pink Floyd ‘parts and includes” excerpts of conversations “and a letter written by Polly Samson, the wife of David Gilmour. The Guardian cites drummer Nick Mason saying that it is “a tribute to Rick (Richard Wright, keyboardist killed in 2008).”

On the band’s website you can hear a snippet of first thirty seconds of the song “It’s What We Do.” The album artwork began today to be displayed in buildings of ten world cities.

The author is Egyptian artist Ahmed Emad Eldin digital, only 18 years. The image was then recreated by an agency of design British and is now on display in a lighted cube, eight feet tall, in South Bank, London.

The mostly instrumental album will be available in four formats: standard CD version, deluxe version CD and DVD version deluxe Blu-Ray and CD and vinyl edition. The special editions include bonus material with photos and videos of the recording in 1993 that culminated in “Division Bell”, six video sessions and three extra songs.
