“Cats Do not Have Vertigo ‘premiere in theaters Day 25 – Reuters

 With production of MGN Films and Audiovisual distribution of NOS, debut in the halls of national cinema in the next day September 25 one of the most anticipated films of the year Portuguese: “Cats Do not Have Vertigo ‘. With realization of António-Pedro Vasconcelos, the film tells a story of love and friendship between a 18 year old (Job), abandoned by his parents, and a woman of 73 (Rose), who has just lost her husband.

Job (Jesus John) is a young delinquent who grew up in a tough neighborhood of Lisbon. Abandoned by his mother as a child and expelled from his father’s house, a loser who lives in shady schemes, on the day he turns 18, ends up in to the building where he lives Rosa terrace and decides to spend the night there.

Rosa (Maria do Céu Guerra) was for years a love story, resistance and complicity with her husband, the translator Joaquim (Nicholas Breyner), such an intense connection that neither death separated them. Even as a widow, the “ghost” of Joachim continues to accompany her and guide her in her day-to-day, leading to behaviors that leave her daughter (Fernanda Serrano) and son in law (Ricardo Sedge) convinced that Rosa is no longer able to live alone and take care of herself.

When Rose discovers Job on your terrace, instead of calling the police to arrest someone in the eyes of anyone else would be a “kid” marginal, decides to accept him, trust him and give him the affection he never had. Together, they discover they have many experiences to share, and there are strong emotional ties born of the most unlikely circumstances.

“Cats Do not Have Vertigo” is a touching and timely film about the country, people ., friendship and above all love, also featuring an original song by Ana Moura
