The Marvel is organizing for the filming of Doctor Strange . According to Screen Daily website, Pinewood-Shepperton, England, studios are already reserved for the production, which should begin preparing the sets between late 2014 and early 2015 The film would then be rotated from May 2015
The Pinewood studios are currently being used by Lucasfilm (which like Marvel is part of Disney) for the filming of Star Wars: Episode VII . Already The Avengers 2: The Age of Ultron was filmed at Shepperton studios (which since 2001 is part of the Pinewood Group), as well as with Ant-Man today.
So far, Marvel has confirmed only that Scott Derickson ( The Exorcism of Emily Rose , The Entity ) is the director of Doctor Stranger . The most recent treatment of the script is signed by Jon Spaihts ( The Hour of Darkness , Prometheus ). The information that Joaquin Phoenix ( Johnny and June , It ) is the protagonist has not been confirmed nor denied by the studio, so negotiations are still ongoing.
