Brazil, Sweden and Portugal are present in Vodafone Mexefest – Hardmusica Journal

James Iorc, I Break Horses, JJ and Throes + The Shine are the latest confirmations for Vodafone Mexefest music that will fill the Avenida da Liberdade, 28 and 29 November.

From Brazil, Tiago Iorc who could identify with the new wave of MPB artists, it is an independent sound universal and not denying however its roots. Owns three LPs, comes to Portugal to present the last “Zeski” (2013), an album that has paraded by many Brazilian cities.


From Sweden, arriving two brilliant teams who have been state disk after disk:. I Break Horses and JJ

I Break Horses, coming from Stockholm consist of Maria Lindén and Fredrik Balck. Exploring an older sound, tangent to the synth-pop, sometimes aggressive rhythm, in other quiet but always lush and full of melody.

JJ edited in 2009 and 2010 The aclamadíssimos “jj no.2,” and “jj No.3″. The critics and the audience amazed with the enigmatic music of Joakim Benon and Elin Kastlander. Developed electronic, pop touches so masterful, adding details and rhythms of hip-hop family.


And now the Portuguese musicians, From Porto, arriving the Throes + The Shine. Them with dance is mandatory because it is impossible not to surrender to the rock sound mixed with kuduro and other tropical musical universes. They have two albums in the repertoire, “Rockuduro” and “Mambos Another type of”
