Fashion’s Night Out is tonight Lisbon – Reuters

The Fashion’s Night Out initiative takes place tonight in Lisbon, covering, besides the Chiado, Principe Real, Rua Castilho and the Avenida da Liberdade, the Augusta street and Gold and Rossio.

This is the 5th edition of what is a fashion event held worldwide and aims to “stimulate consumer confidence and boost the membership of the general public to the traditional trade “whether in clothing stores, fashion accessories or beauty items, according to the organization.

In all there are 222 participating stores that are open until 23:00 in the Portuguese capital, offering customers, in addition to extended hours, music, animation and discounts.

The event is organized by Vogue Portugal and has the support of the City of Lisbon.

In Augusta Street, there will be performances urban art, curated by producer Book a Street Artist, and music shows, magic, fire, ‘graffiti’ and juggling.

In the Rossio Lisbon will be the market LxMarket with a “Fashion Market”, such as happens in Principe Real.

This year is also the first that includes the participation of the Design and Fashion Museum (CHANGE), Collection of Francisco Capelo and the Museum of S. Roque. These spaces will, like the shops extend their hours, also providing access to promotions and exhibitions.

The Teatro da Trindade, Chiado, is another rookie. Ali will be possible to visit the inside and know the parts of the wardrobe that there will be exposed.

In all adherent establishments, there will be a shopping bag that can be purchased for five euros and the total value of sales revert to the institution Operation Red Nose, which intervenes in pediatric services in Portuguese hospitals.

The Vogue Fashion’s Night Out this year also has a mobile app (compatible with iOS and Android systems), which may be downloaded free of charge and will display the full script of the stores
