The Weeknd is the name by which it is known the singer and songwriter canadian Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, ethiopian. It was under this pseudonym that the musician introduced himself to the world in 2010 when it published a series of songs on YouTube. It was especially heard this year, once the songs Earned It and Where You Belong is part of the soundtrack of the film Fifty Shades of Grey (premiered in early 2016).
The musician, 26 years old, in December launched the album Starboy, which reached number 1 of the most listened to of the USA.
The XX, Alt -J and Ryan Adams are already confirmed for Thursday, July 6.
the Foo Fighters, Depeche Mode, The Kills, and Imagine Dragons are also part of the poster already released by the promoter of the festival, Everything is New.
tickets are on sale and cost 59 euros (a day) or 129 euros (three days).
