Rick Parfitt, 68-year-old guitarist of the british rock of the Status Quo, died this Saturday in a hospital in Spain, with a severe infection.
“We are truly devastated by having to announce that the guitarist of the Statuos Quo, Rick Parfitt, has died today (Saturday) at lunch time”, says a press release issued by the agent and by the family of the musician.
The news comes at a time when Rick was getting ready to move forward with a solo career, having planned, to 2017, an album and an autobiography.
Rick Parfitt left to perform with the band Status Quo – one that is renowned with hits like “In The Army Now” – in October, after suffering a heart attack, advanced to the CBB.
According to the british newspaper “The Guardian”, the musician was transported to the hospital, in Marbella, Andalusia, this Thursday night, due to complications with an injury in the shoulder caused by a fall.
