actor Harrison Ford, lamented the death of Carrie Fisher, noting that the actress was “unique, brilliant, original, entertaining and emotionally courageous”.
Carrie Fisher, who played princess Leia in the original trilogy of “Star wars” (“Star Wars” George Lucas), next to, among others, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill, died Tuesday at the age of 60, days after having suffered a heart attack.
“Carrie was single. Brilliant, original, entertaining, and emotionally fearless. He lived life courageously. My thoughts are with her daughter, Billie, the mother, Debbie, brother, Todd, and their many friends. We will all feel his absence,” says Harrison Ford, in a statement.
The character played by Ford in the trilogy, the captain Hans Solo, had a passionate romance with coprotagonista in the film, and the second wrote Fisher in the book of memories that released recently, “The Princess Diarist”, during the filming of “Star wars – The Empire Strikes back” at Elstree (England) (1980), the two had an affair outside of the “set”.
In the famous trilogy, Carrie Fisher appeared opposite also with Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker.
in A message on Twitter, Hamill said “without words” and “desolate” at the news of the death of Fisher. Hamill followed up the message with a black and white picture in which the two appear characterized and dressed as Luke, and Read.
George Lucas, the creator of the saga, released by his side with a note that highlights the intelligence and the talent of Carrie Fisher.
“An actress, writer, and humorist talented, with a pleasing personality that everybody loved. In ‘Star Wars’ has been our great and powerful princess, fighter, wise, and full of hope in a paper that was more difficult than most could think,” said Luke.
Peter Mayhew, the actor who gave life to Chewbacca, also expressed regret at the death of Carrie Fisher: “there are No words for this loss. Carrie was the brightest light in any room that she entered. Is going to make me huge.”
“Working with her was wonderful. My condolences to the friends, family and fans all over the world,” said by your side David “Dave” Prowse, the actor who was Darth Vader.
