After the concert at the Optimus Alive festival in 2012, the British band The Cure will return to Portugal next year, to hold a concert in Meo Arena in Lisbon on 22 November. This will be one of 30 shows that the band Robert Smith will do in your next big European tour, something that has not happened since 2008 and will pass through 17 countries, according to the announcement on Monday.
According to the organizers of The Cure Tour 2016, the repertoire of the concert will revisit the more than three decades of the band’s songs, but also some new themes.
On stage, with the voice of Robert Smith, founder and only surviving member of the band formed in 1976 in Crawley, will be Simon Gallup (bass), Jason Cooper (drums), Roger O’Donnell (keyboards) and Reeves Gabrels (guitar).
The Twilight Sad will be the support band on all tour concerts, which will begin in Helsinki, Finland, on October 7, and will end on December 1st in London.
