The successor of “Desfado.” – Best-selling album of the decade in Portugal – was produced by Larry Klein to Los Angeles. The musicians Angelo Freire (Portuguese guitar) and Pedro Soares (viola de fado) that usually accompany joined in the recordings, Dan Lutz on bass (Lizz Wright and Michael Buble); Dean Parks on guitar (Madonna, Stevie Wonder, Elton John and Diana Ross); Pete Korpela on percussion (Robbie Williams and Melody Gardot); Pete Kuzma on keyboards (Jill Scott and Lizz Wright); and Vinnie Colaiuta on drums (Frank Zappa and Sting).
The mixtures were Tim Palmer (who mixed discs of U2, The Cure and Pearl Jam) and Tchad Blake (Arctic Monkeys, U2 and Black Keys ). The issue is scheduled for the end of the month.
