A restored copy of Sleigh Bells (Sleigh Bells, in free translation, 1928) will have world premiere at the British Film Institute (BFI, its acronym in English) in London in December.
The BFI says that the discovery of silent film six minutes long lost in your files, it was a “pleasant surprise.”
Other Character films have survived, but Sleigh Bells had not been seen since the original release.
Oswaldo was created by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks in 1927 for Universal Studios before the duo create his most famous character , Mickey Mouse.

The only existing copy of Sleigh Bells was in the BFI files and was ” rediscovered “by a researcher who worked at the online archive of the institute.
The restoration was made by Disney animation studios, and the new copy appears on December 12th in London as part of a program on short Disney Christmas -metragens.
“What a pleasant surprise it was to find a Walt Disney movie long ago lost in the BFI file and can display it to a new audience 87 years after its creation” said Robin Baker, head of the curators at the National BFI file
“The restoration of this film will present many people at Disney working at the time changes. – the work shows the vitality and imagination of your animations on a key point of his early career. “
Andrew Millstein, president of the Disney animation studios, oversaw the restoration and said Oswaldo films are an important part of the history of Disney.
“We have worked with film archives and private collectors around the world in search of titles still missing.”
